Jonas Becker is a Partner in the firm’s Cross-Border Asset Recovery group who joined Whitfield & Crane from Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), where he led financial investigations into international wire-fraud syndicates for more than a decade.

He coordinates multi-jurisdiction freezes across the EU banking system, working with local counsel, forensic accountants and law enforcement to trace and recover assets routed through Germany’s financial infrastructure. He has recovered funds in more than 20 countries.

Jonas is admitted as a Rechtsanwalt in Germany and holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He lectures regularly on European asset-tracing practice.
